The North Sea Surf Film Festival presents
‘COLD GOLD’
An open video night to launch the inaugural North Sea Surf Film Festival. We are inviting surfers to create their own surf edit with their crew and submit it to be screened at a live event on Thursday the 26th March 2026.
Each entry to the event gets a vote for their favourite edit. Gather your crew!
We want this to be a true celebration of North Sea surf culture, a chance to have to fun, get creative and get involved with the festival directly without the pressure of creating a cinematic masterpiece.
The rules are simple-
Maximum 3 minute edit
North Sea footage *No wave pool
Fresh footage only, nothing that’s been on social media
At least one member of each crew in attendance on the 26th March screening night
HOW TO ENTER
Use the submissions page on this website to submit via the filmfreeway link, selecting the ‘cold gold’ category or notify us at info@northseasurffilmfestival.com and we can arrange a Wetransfer or similar.
*By entering Cold Gold, you agree to NSSFF screening your crew’s edit on 26th March 2026 and, if selected, to also be screened at the gala night on 28th March. Winning edit will be selected by the Organisers of NSSFF and ONE winning crew will be notified on 26th March at the Cold Gold screening. Prize to be confirmed. Prize cannot be redeemed for cash value. Entrants will retain all ownership of their work but North Sea Surf Film Festival reserves the right to use footage to promote the event.
